Abstract of the seminar:

 This talk will introduce a comprehensive analysis of variations in genetic factors and physiological observations related to the complex diseases, aimed at generating major improvements in diseases prognosis and diagnosis. We will discover new knowledge through three dominant models: (1) the biomarker model, (2) the physiological model, and (3) a complex interaction of (1) and (2). We anticipate that the talk will produce a new understanding of the complex pathogenic and biological processes. This talk will not only show the drawback of current disease research approach but also raise the approach to apply association and combination data mining technology based on genome sequencing and physiological observation instead of solo clinical/genomics studies of diseases.
