- KSS 2013 main program is set up, with 3 main KSS stream invited talks, Data Science Fourm and KSS intensive School.
- A meeting is held for KSS2013 preparation in Dalian. Partipants include Professor Nakamori (JAIST), Professor Jifa Gu and Xijin Tang (AMSS-CAS), and all members of the Institute of Systems Engineering, Dalian University of Technology. The feature during KSS2012, KSS Intensive School will be continued in KSS2013.
- Professor Simon French, a professor at University of Warwick, previously a professor in the University of Manchester and well-known for his work in the International Chernobyl Project, confirmed to give an invited plenary talk on KSS2013 on "Cynefin,Decision Analysis and Emergency Management".
- The 13th International Symposium on Knowledge and Systems Sciences will be held in JAIST during November 19 – 20, 2012. The local host will organize an international intensive school on knowledge and systems for graduate students during November 16-20, 2012.
